Project Zeko
Zeko, a character with a strong playful appeal, was created by Thalamus to interact with young people in fun, cunning ways, encouraging the awareness of the socio-environmental themes fundamental for the recovery of our planet’s good health.
Linked to or independent of the Thalamus brand, Zeko’s role is to aid communication and disseminate the concept of socio-environmental health, seeking broader awareness, partnerships and the mobilization of society.
In 2005 Thalamus produced a folder in which Zeko talks about the importance of water. An edition of 10,000 copies were distributed among the projects it supports in Rio de Janeiro and Fernando de Noronha, as well as partner projects.
In 2006 Thalamus reinforced its awareness campaign for the rational use of water, releasing a song and animated music video for World Water Day, broadcast on nationwide TV (Globo). This initiative was supported by classes about the importance of water and a dance contest in public schools in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
New educational activities are being planned in order to reach even larger audiences.
